An ordinary married couple is house hunting and applying for a mortgage, but with every scene it becomes clearer they're hiding something supernatural. The reveal: they're vampires, and the real hero of the story is the service, for which unusual clients are simply normal.
The more a person differs from a standard client, the harder it becomes to get a mortgage.
Most banks design their process around the "ideal" borrower. Any deviation makes the path longer and harder.
Show the most impossible client imaginable. If even they get approved fast and simple, the service is truly built for everyone.
The mirror doesn't seem to reflect what it should. The husband stands right in front of it, but all you see is the wall behind him. The viewer isn't even sure if they saw it right. The real hook isn't that one detail. It's the general unease of the moment, from the flicker in the mirror to how carefully he's scrubbing the tub.
The tension runs on the viewer doubting their own eyes, not on a clear reveal. Everything clicks only at the very end, when an ordinary scene with a mortgage form quietly reframes what came before, without spelling it out.
Completion rate. The whole film runs on the viewer's doubt and the answer only lands at the very end, so if people don't watch it through, the device didn't work.
